Smile vat invoices

Has anyone a copy of a vat invoice that they use? As we now have to sent one to the health authority for work done. Pauline

Not sure if this will work but hopefully have attached our invoice which I have set up so that if you put the right code in the column it will automatically add the VAT, i.e. if you put S for standard it adds 17.5% VAT but if you put E for Exempt or O for out of scope it doesn't add any VAT. You need to save it as an Excel template then you can use if over and over again.

Pam why would you need a VAT invoice? Is your practice VAT registered? Because you would only use this to get a refund of the VAT you have paid!!

Harmander

Our branch is dispensing so we had to register for VAT last year when drug reimbursement changed due to an EU ruling. However, we also do various private medicals which are ones that, now we are registered, we have had to charge VAT on since April or May this year due to some other changes in regulations. It's a right pain!!
