One of our staff members has been absent since the 1st of June. I am under the impression that the lady has in fact had a hysterectomy, although this would appear to have only been collaborated by word of mouth, as I am not in receipt of a sick note.

As far as Im aware no partner was made aware of the absence, and it only became light after the 1st of June. Whilst I need to clarify whether or not any verbal instructions were given as to this absence, without evidence to support that, I believe that 'she is absent without good cause' and can be disciplined to that effect
